A Revolution for Stage Design

Rooted in scenography and driven by technical innovation, Big Image has long developed solutions where function, aesthetics, and sustainability meet. Clear Stage is the latest proof of what can happen when industry knowledge and innovation come together.

“Innovation is in our DNA,” says Alexander Andrae Schäfer, Head of Sales at Big Image. “This is the most significant development for Big Image since our Infinitus printer, and I’m convinced this floor will revolutionize stage design.”

Created in Collaboration With the Industry

Clear Stage was developed in close dialogue with scenographers, dancers, and suppliers, aiming to solve real-world challenges in scenic environments. To better understand the needs of users, Big Image invited professionals from across the performing arts to test the floor.

The feedback from these tests played a vital role in refining the product. Test users evaluated the floor’s performance under stage lighting and how it felt to move and perform on. Based on this input, Big Image fine-tuned the material, surface, and print quality to achieve the final result: a durable floor where the printed motif is applied on the reverse side of a transparent material.
