From Painting to Stage Landscape
For the production of Ariadne auf Naxos, the scenographer wanted to work from an existing painting as the visual foundation. AI was used as a practical tool to transform and expand the landscape, reshaping land into an island and extending the sea to fit the theatre’s spatial requirements.
The final imagery was produced as a printed stage carpet that connected seamlessly with the backdrop, creating one continuous scenic world. Visuals were delivered on premium Translight fabric and Bodentuch flooring, ensuring consistency across surfaces and lighting conditions.
